About the war – in an easy-to-read format (ETRF)

The All-Ukrainian Public Organisation “Coalition for the Protection of the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Resulting from Intellectual Impairments”, together with 20 regional offices across Ukraine, is launching an information centre and an information campaign entitled “About the War – in Easy-to-Read Format”. This has been made possible by the “Ukrainian Rapid Response Fund” programme, implemented by IREX with the support of the US Department of State.

The aim is to provide timely and relevant information about the war, safety and support in an easy-to-read format (ETR).

Easy-to-read format – a way of presenting information that is easy for people with intellectual disabilities to read and understand.

The activities of the information centre include:

  1. Research into the information needs of people with intellectual disabilities and their families during the war.
  2. Preparing leaflets on the war and safety.
  3. Preparing guidance on support.
  4. Preparing news updates.
  5. Answering questions that cause concern.
